How to Plan a Themed Party
If you're in a similar perdicament, here are some ideas to get the creativity flowing:
1. One Step at a Time: Separate the party into catagories - Decorations, Food, Favors, Entertainment, and so on. Tackle one category at a time. If you get stuck while focusing on Food, you can always shift your attention to Decorations, and you'll find that an an idea in one category may inspire you in other categories.
2. Let Go of the Theme: Yup, that's what I said! If your child really loves water balloons and you can't seem to make it fit into your Ballet themed party. Let it go. No sense giving up on something important just to stick to a theme. Most children won't notice if you go a bit off topic, and if one does, hand 'em a cookie for being so observant!
3. Google: You may have done that here! Nothing is wrong with a little google action. Check out what others have done, you don't have to do the exact same thing, but reading/seeing other ideas and decorations will give you something to build from!
Look out for "Fix It" party pictures in late August.
So I guess our new motto will be "Confetti Bop: Can We Plan It? Yes. We. Can!"

Top 10 Children Party Themes for Summer 2010
Choosing from a variety of children party themes for your child's or preteen's next event can be a challenge. That's why Confetti Bop has compiled a list of the most popular themes for summer 2010.
Top 5 Children Party Themes for Girls:
Beach/Pool Party
Fashion Show
Spa Party
Music Video Creation
Although these are the most popular children party themes, it's important to identify a child's individual needs when planning an event. The most popular themes may not be a good fit for your boy or girl. If a child or tween has unconventional interests, parents should consider throwing a party more suited to them.
To ease the overwhelming pressure that can often accompany planning a children or preteen party, parents may opt for assistance from a party planner. Event planners can be an excellent resource when researching and choosing a theme that fits your child's or tween's party desires.

QUICK & CHEAP PARTY FAVORS
Grab Bag
Go to the dollar store and pick up a unique gift for each child. Put each gift in a brown paper bag decorated with question marks. Let each child draw a number out of the hat to choose his or bag.
Candy Bar
Purchase large bags of bite size candies, gum drops, and gummy bears. Fill glasses of different shapes and sizes with each candy. Place spoons or scoops in the bowls and allow the child to choose candies for his or her treat bag.
Sidewalk Chalk
Look for a cheap buckets of sidewalk chalk. Although this is only one item, the volume of the gift is much greater. You can string some ribbon with a nametag or place a bow on each one.

HOW TO MAKE A NO-SEW TUTU
Tulle: 6 yards of one color, or 2-3 yards of each if using multiple colors
Elastic: 1/2-1 inch wide
Scissors
Stapler
Ruler
Measuring tape
Instructions:
- Cut 6-inch wide strips using all of the tulle.
- Measure your child's waist, and cut the elastic an inch or two beyond that.
- Overlap elastic and staple together along both edges. Make sure the points of the staples face the outside so they do not poke your child.
- Fold one piece of tulle in half, place the looped part of the tulle against the elastic, and pull the two ends over the elastic and through the loop.
- Repeat with all tulle pieces.
- Get creative by also adding pieces of ribbon throughout utilizing the same methods.
