How to Plan a Themed Party

We received a request for a theme using a popular disney character, and I got a bit nervous. How do we create this party without just plastering the character's face all over the place!?
If you're in a similar perdicament, here are some ideas to get the creativity flowing:

1. One Step at a Time: Separate the party into catagories - Decorations, Food, Favors, Entertainment, and so on. Tackle one category at a time. If you get stuck while focusing on Food, you can always shift your attention to Decorations, and you'll find that an an idea in one category may inspire you in other categories.

2. Let Go of the Theme: Yup, that's what I said! If your child really loves water balloons and you can't seem to make it fit into your Ballet themed party. Let it go. No sense giving up on something important just to stick to a theme. Most children won't notice if you go a bit off topic, and if one does, hand 'em a cookie for being so observant!

3. Google: You may have done that here! Nothing is wrong with a little google action. Check out what others have done, you don't have to do the exact same thing, but reading/seeing other ideas and decorations will give you something to build from!

Look out for "Fix It" party pictures in late August.

So I guess our new motto will be "Confetti Bop: Can We Plan It? Yes. We. Can!"

  1. You may also ask friends to plan with you so you can share lots of ideas in planning a theme party.
